With spring taking hold across the New York region, we’re taking a moment to enjoy the outdoors and celebrate EnTech’s long partnership with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR).
Richmond Terrace Wetland, a new park in Staten Island
EnTech has provided construction management (CM) and engineering consulting services for projects at New York City parks and recreation centers across the five boroughs. Projects have included new parks, the reconstruction of athletic fields and playgrounds, and the upgrade of recreational building centers. EnTech’s projects with the NYCDPR reach from Van Cortlandt Park in the North Bronx, to the Rockaway Peninsula in southeastern Queens, to the West Shore of Staten Island.

EnTech has served as the prime CM consultant for numerous NYCDPR projects, including overseeing the construction of a key parcel of Bushwick Inlet Park, a major expansion of the waterfront Ferry Point Park, the ground-up, modular construction of an administrative building at Socrates Sculpture Park, and the reconstruction of Sunset Park Bathhouse, to name just a few. On the design side, the firm has provided geotechnical and environmental investigations for the planning of multiple park and playground reconstructions.

In addition to managing the city’s parks, the NYCDPR manages and maintains a wide range of waterfront areas and pedestrian infrastructure. EnTech has led CM services for successful projects in these sectors as well, including the ongoing revitalization of the Fulton Mall streetscape in Downtown Brooklyn and the reconstruction of the Hallet’s Cove seawall on the Astoria waterfront, in Queens.
