Total Design & Construction Support Services for Replacement of Bruckner Expressway over Westchester Creek, Unionport Bridge

The Unionport Bridge is a moveable bridge with a double-leaf trunnion bascule supporting Bruckner Boulevard over Westchester Creek in the Bronx, New York. The scope of work includes construction of a new bascule structure, realignment of the approaches with new overhead connector ramps, mechanical and electrical systems, operator house, and fender system.

EnTech was responsible for the preparation of preliminary construction staging plans, preparation of preliminary construction staging plans, work zone traffic control (WZTC) plans, civil engineering design tasks, AutoCAD/BIM services, environmental assessments, and construction support services. EnTech also developed various alternatives for maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) schemes that fit project conditions.
