Replacing a combined sewer system on The Bronx’s most famous street, the Grand Concourse, is the scope of the project. Teaming with the New York Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) EnTech provides the following roles: Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, Office Engineer, Inspectors, Geotechnical Engineers, and CADD Operators. Responsibilities include: performing a complete inspection of the construction limits, including various utilities such as water mains, sewers, traffic signals, streetlights, catch basins, city-owned facilities such as bus shelters, fire alarms, hydrants, and private structures. EnTech’s REI team is responsible for establishing the project procedure, Quality Assurance and Construction Support (QACS) and all correspondence procedures, reporting, and authority.
Once in the construction phase EnTech will be responsible for the full reconstruction of Grand Concourse including main road, two service roads and raised concrete medians, upgrade to existing combined sewer of various size, installation of numerous type I and III catch basins, shallow catch basin, water mains, clean out manholes, sidewalks and curbs, traffic signals and decorative type street lighting, fire alarms, wayfinding signs, and concrete bus pads. The project also includes installation of bike racks, city benches, landscaping, and upgrade to subway frames and grates.
